DONALD A. KENNEDY

 Donald A. Kennedy died on June 30, 1943 as a result of a shipboard accident on the Liberty Ship SS LEE S. OVERMAN.  The ship was mined at 1100 GCT on November 19, 1944 off of Le Havre, France while en route from New York, New York to La Harve with a cargo of ammunition.  She left NY in Convoy HX-313 arriving at the River Clyde on October 25 for orders.  Her crew was 42 merchant crew and 25 Naval Armed Guard.  There were no casualties as a result of the mining.  The ship was beached at the entrance to Le Havre and declared a total loss.
