MICHAEL M. CHROBAK

            Cadet Michael M. Chrobak was an engine major at the United States Merchant Marine Academy.  He sailed on the SS Louise Lykes, which was built in Kearney, NJ.  The SS Louise Lykes was torpedoed and sunk on January 9,1943 in the North Atlantic while bringing war supplies to Belfast, Northern Ireland.  Cadet Chrobak was unable to survive.
